March 2015 Newsletter

Needs Met & Needs Remaining:
Last Newsletter mentioned that we needed to raise some money for some Appliances to be replaced. Many of the appliances we have been able to get from a missionary family that is leaving the field. They were purchased with the help of funds raised from Lighthouse Baptist, Christ Mission Baptist, & Cornerstone Baptist. Some of those appliances were: a Dryer, Refrigerator, Stove, and also a Diesel Generator. THANK YOU! We still need funds for: a Washer; an Inverter for the house; and about 4 large deep cycle gel Batteries; and a whole Set of Bible Story Flash Cards from ABeka. We will also be purchasing our kids homeschooling for the next 3 years.

We thank the Lord, as many have, for the last two months of our travels that have been very obvious in God’s guidance and protection during the frigid Cold, Snow, and Ice. The Week of Valentines we traveled through ice and snow to get Delaware for a meeting as the main speaker in a Conference. That Sunday morning the Pastor had to cancel all of the services because the frigid cold. We know that God has a purpose for everything but that we did not understand after our travels all the way to Delaware. Later that week I got to speak in the Chapel service for their Christian School and a boy named Caleb came to me after the services and accepted Christ. The Lord’s Will is that He is  “…not willing that any Should Perish but that All Should Come to repentance.”- II Pt 3:9 I thank God for that Trip to Delaware! We are grateful for your prayers for our safety. They are always needed and welcomed. These next few months my family and I will be doing many miles of traveling. We will be traveling through and having meetings in Ohio, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, & Michigan. For Naomi and Matthew we also will be visiting about 3 different colleges of interest.

In February Bro Prince Tackie our national pastor in Ghana asked Linda a nice young lady out of another missionaries church plant to be his wife. Our church, Cornerstone Biblical Baptist Church, in Sekondi is excited to be getting Their Own “Asofo Maame” – Pastor’s Wife for Prince. Cornerstone Biblical Baptist will be having their Conference on Missions March 22 -25. Since the beginning of our Conferences on Missions in 2011 every year they have increased significantly in their Giving to Faith Promise. One of my burdens for National churches is for them to excite and fund world missions out of their own Country from their own Local Churches. It takes a church that is Maturing In Their Christ Commissioned Responsibility of the Great Commission and that is Growing  In Their Faith to be concerned enough To Do Something Sacrificially about others getting the Gospel. My Family and I have purchased our plane tickets for Ghana. We will be leaving June 29 readying ourselves for the Wedding of our National Pastor, Growing our Bible Study in Kojokrom as a prospective church plant, and continuing teaching and going forward with training other men in the Gospel Ministry.

Prayer Requests:
Our Remaining Needs as listed above; New Church Support to maintain our level of support for this next term on the field – We are at 93% now; Visas For Our Passports; Conference On Missions.

Blindness is not necessarily about what you cannot see, But About What Your Lack Of Understand Might Be. “And Saul arose from the earth and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man:…”
