September Newsletter 2010

Reports from Ghana:
We got some reports back from Ghana. Everything went well for their 4th annual VBS in Sekondi. Prince wrote that on Monday they had 70 by Friday, the last day of VBS, they had 223. During the week 3 teens were led to the Savior and also 3 kids . Koasi wrote that all is doing fine and that a girl from West Ridge School, where we regularly have our Wednesday devotions, was led to the Lord and that she has been faithfully coming to church. Praise God for the salvations and the faithful attendance. Also, they have scheduled a revival conference for October. Lamissi, one of the girls Koasi led to the Lord about 1 and a half years ago has also been reported of that she is starting to teach the kids in Sunday School and Jr. Church. That is Great! The property the church is looking to get is still in progress. Where we have been renting, the lady of the house does not want to renew this November. Please continue to be in prayer for the church and all of its happenings. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 is a promise we can stand on and by faith must!

Wedding & Jackie:
Abigail, my niece who came to Ghana in the summer of 2008, and Joey Daniels asked me if I would like to perform their wedding because her pastor was on vacation. To my privilege, I got to do my nieces wedding on the 31st of July. My twin helped out with the ceremony by giving the charge.
Please be in prayer for my wife, Jackie, and her soon and complete recovery. After visiting the emergency room and our family doctor about her vomiting, nausea, and dizziness she has been going through since the beginnings of August, it was diagnosed to be an inner ear infection.

Scheduling Meetings and Updating:
Booking meetings for the fall is coming to being full. During this fall we mostly have been booking supporting churches. It has been great to have the blessing and opportunity to be with our supporters. During the coming New Year we will be in the process of trying to raise our support along with going back to those supporting churches who we have not reported to in person about the ministry in Ghana during the previous furlough. Please be in prayer for our safe travels and the success of raising more support. We thank the Lord for those churches the Lord has brought our way and your faithful supporting of us. The blessings have been bountiful with our housing, tutoring, schooling, cars, repairs, doctor’s and dentist’s appointments; our church reports from Africa, and Camp Chippewa here at our sending church of the salvations and service for the Lord! We have also updated our prayer cards, envelopes, and letterheads. Some of our older prayer cards at the churches we’ve gone back to so far, have only Naomi and Matthew on them.
